How to Write Valentines Day Cards
Don't sign a Valentine, but give a clue
Create a source of mystery and excitement, make your card
anonymous. If it is for a wife, husband or
partner anonimity adds to the romance and humour of the occasion.
If it's for someone who is
unaware of your affections then add a few clues to help
them find out who you are. That is the point of sending it after all.
Compliment your Valentine
Say something nice, mention eyes, a smile, a laugh, a walk
or whatever feels right. Be playful, a bit cheeky or even cute.
Make up little rhymes but try and keep them amusing.
Keep to Valentine Traditions
St. Valentines day is traditionally steeped in romance and mystery.
Play on it as much as possible. Ask your chosen one to
be your valentine, sign off with "your valentine ...?".
Example Valentines Day Card
Dear ...
Every time you smile my heart beats a little faster
Be my Valentine!
Love from an everyday admirer,
Your Valentine...?
------------------------
Dear ...
If I were a little flower,
and you were a honey bee
I'd grow big white sweet smelling petals
so you would land on me
BE MY VALENTINE
