German Wedding Traditions

German wedding traditions vary by region, some are very similar to English ones but many are unique to German culture.
The traditional first wedding dance after the wedding is for the bride and groom, however the second dance is for the bride with her father, the groom with his mother and the groom's father dances with the bride's mother.
The traditional stag night or bachelour party is called the Junggesellenabschied.
Wedding rings are worn on the right hand in Germany, the bride and groom traditionally have identical rings.
